We Have Lights But No Power

Does anyone have any ideas house is 12 years old thanks.

We have lights but no power.

Not sure what could be causing it it has never happened before. If the fixture works properly. This is not a very common point of failure but your pc might not be turning on because the power button isn t properly connected to the motherboard. It uses the neutral.

We ve run extension cords for power before but it would be cool if any of the offbeat homies have got better ideas for lighting up the balcony. Power to the fixture but no light. Make sure the power switch is connected to the motherboard if you re using a desktop. We d love to make more use of our large balcony except there s no power outlet out there or even lights above.

Woke up this morning and none of the lights in the house are working power points are fine though. A loose wire connection can cause the wire to overheat eventually causing the connection to fail. The most likely reason for your power points not working when your lights are ok is that your safety switch has tripped. We d very much appreciate any insights leads.

It gets pretty dark out there so we havent really made much use of the space at night which is a shame. The light fixture does not use the ground to power the lights. Unplug and remove from the power point simply switching off the power point will not work the last electrical appliance that you were using and try to reset the safety switch. Checked the elec box and there are all separate switches one is for the lights turned it off and on again but no luck.

If this resolves the problem then have the appliance in question checked by electricians plus. Of course we tried changing out the bulb but no light. So what could be causing the problem. Our other porch light is downstream on the same circuit and is working fine.

If your dishwasher will not start but has power light or sound then there are a few things you can do to get the dishwasher to run again. I bet you tested for power to the ground. Electronic models have a child lock out feature to prevent the dishwasher from accidentally being turned on. Most case switches are connected to the motherboard via a red and black twisted pair of wires.

If so that tells you that the switch is still the issue. Check the control lock feature control lock feature. If it doesn t work but you have power the neutral may be the problem as suggested. Sometimes a loose connection will make a crackling noise.
